Watercolor is a medium that forces me to be creative.

The way the washes flow and the way the paint dries can take me in creative directions I hadn't intended.

If you are an artist who wants it your way or no way, watercolor may not be for you. 

About the Images

Some of my work is done by commiission and some by inspiration.

It's pretty inspirational to experience a subject, first hand. To experience a wild animal, looking you straight in the eye. To experience a perigrine falcon taking a duck, in flight.

Or even experiencing a relic of an old car, rusting away in a leaky old barn.

I guess it doesn't take much to inspire me. Everywhere I go, I find things that make me wonder where they came from, their history, and where they will go from here.

Within all my studies and thoughts of a subject, comes inspiration.
